Aberdeen Driftbuster Summer Campout

Summer Campout

Aberdeen Driftbuster Snowmobile Club Members:
September 15-16 the Driftbusters will be holding their membership campout at Wylie Park Campground. As in the past, there will be camping, campfires, turkeys, potlucks, go carts and a whole lot of fellowship! (Check your email, you should have an email on this event.)
The fun will begin Friday the 15th with turkeys cooked in fryers, time to be determined. Please bring a dish to pass (this can be as easy as chips, dips, watermelon, desserts, etc.). The club will provide the turkeys, plates, silverware, napkins, soft drinks and water. This will be followed by a campfire.
Saturday at 5:00 we will have a potluck held in the meeting room at the lodge at the campground. Joey Nagel will be making pulled pork. Please bring a dish to pass. The club will provide the pork, plates, silverware, napkins, soft drinks and water. From 6:30 to 7:30, the club reserved the go-carts for a private party. Following the go-carts will be another campfire.
You do not have to camp in order to enjoy this event. All that is necessary is that you pay your 2023-2024 dues prior to the potluck.
The following campsites are being held for the campout but must be reserved prior to July 1st: (Do Not Contact Wylie Park Directly, Instead Contact Ann Nagel 605-228-4143.)
After July 1st the campsites listed will be open to the public. 61, 62, 63, 64, 65, 66, 67, 68, 69, 70, 71, 72, 77, 78, 79, 80, 81, 87, 88, 89, 90, 92. Spots are first come, first serve. Do not miss the July 1st deadline if you plan to camp.
We are doing the reservations for the campsites differently this year. Please contact Ann Nagel at anagel4@abe.midco.net for pricing and let her know which site # you would like to have.
You will need to send the money for your membership and campsite to: Aberdeen Driftbusters, PO Box 204, Aberdeen, SD 57402-0204. Make the checks payable to the Aberdeen Driftbusters. She will put your name on the reservation and pay for it after she receives your payment.
DO NOT CALL THE WYLIE CAMPGROUND FOR YOUR RESERVATION. In the past we have had a lot of trouble with the reservation process we were using so we are trying it this way this year.
Thanks, and let me know if you have any questions.
