January Newsletter

I can’t believe it, the snow has come and we get to groom the snowmobile trails so that all of that work putting the trail in was not for nothing. The groomers were out and the trail was groomed for the first time on Dec. 20th and 21st and it appears the trail is in pretty good shape. I know that the trail will be used because I have been getting telephone calls wondering when the trail was going to be groomed. I know that we have an awesome trails system up here in Aberdeen and that our groomers do an excellent job keeping it in good shape for all of the riders to use.

I hope with the holiday season coming upon us that all will have a great time with their family and friends. This can be a trying time for some and an awesome time for others so be sure to share the good cheer with everyone.

On a sadder note Colleen and Jamie Hohm of the Town and Country Snow Drifters earlier this month unexpectedly lost their 9 year old son Jakob and he loved snowmobiling and doing things with his family and snowmobile club. Jakob was one of the youth snowmobile candidates this year at the convention. Jakob will be missed by all of his family and friends. Please keep them in your prayers this holiday season because it will be rough on them.

Our next monthly club meeting will be at Wakeside on Mina Lake Thursday, January 5th starting at 7:30pm so show up earlier for supper.

We have a few club events coming up this month on the calendar,
