Driftbusters January Newsletter
Dec 2017

We hope you all had a very Merry Christmas and welcomed in 2018 in style! We spent 4 days in the Hills and rode 300 miles over the holidays. We were thankful for the warming shelters along the trails as a couple of the days the high was less than 10 degrees. The new Polaris’ are now officially off their training hours. We enjoyed 5 new inches of snow one of the days we rode. Overall, a good base has been formed. Let’s keep hoping for more snow throughout the state so we can ride the trails we spent so much time putting in!
Our next meeting will be held on Thursday, January 4th at 7:30 PM at the Titan’s Restaurant in Frederick. Come early and have supper!
Saturday, January 6th we will host our Christmas Party with a free steak feed at the Richmond Oasis for members only. Party starts at 5:30pm. Bring a nonperishable item for the food pantry. We will have a 50/50 raffle as well with proceeds to the food pantry.
We are planning a Club Ride to the Black Hills during the SnoCross races January 19-21. We plan to ride on Saturday, January 20th – we will determine a meeting place at our Jan. 4th. meeting. The club voted to provide $20 per club member for dinner at the Deadwood Gulch/Creekside Restaurant at 5:00 PM on Saturday, January 20th. Of course, we will then be joining the cheering section at the SnowCross for Polaris rider, Cody Kamm ? Anyone wanting pit passes can stop by the SDSA booth to get them. A block of rooms for the club has been reserved at the Deadwood Gulch – first come, first serve. Ask for the Driftbusters rooms when reserving.
Hope to see you all out playing in the snow!
