WE NEED YOUR HELP!!!!!! The SDSA convention is just 2 weeks away and we need every members help. You need to get registered as soon as possible if you have not already done so. The registration form can be downloaded on the Aberdeen Driftbusters web site or found in the SnoPlainsman.

We are asking all club members to gather items for the auctions and door prizes. Talk to your employer, places you do business, or your friends and ask for a donation (items do not have to be snowmobile related). Items can be gift certificates, free coupons from business, etc. Bring your items to the Nov. 3rd. club meeting at 7:30pm at the Pizza Ranch, or give them to any of the convention committee members. A portion of the auction items goes toward supporting the Aberdeen Driftbusters Snowmobile Club.

Please volunteer to help at the convention for a variety of tasks as there are many jobs to be filled. To volunteer contact the convention committee members who are: Kelly Weaver—216-1564, Ann Nagel—228-4143, or Stacey Pence—380-7946.

REMINDER——-Please turn in all raffle tickets for the club gun raffle, Everybody Wins raffle, and the SDSA 50/50 raffle tickets at the Nov. 3rd. club meeting.

LET’S MAKE THIS A GREAT CONVENTION FOR OUR CLUB AND FOR SDSA!!!!!!

Free snowmobile safety trainings open to the public at the convention on Sat. Nov. 12th.

Two free classes promoting safe snowmobiling will be available on Sat. Nov. 12th. at the Aberdeen Ramkota Hotel. Both classes will be held at 1:30 pm. and are open to the public, club membership is not required. The 2 classes are Avalance Rescue Skills and Snowmobile Safety certification course. The Avalance course will be taught by Mike Duffy of Avalance 1 and participants are encouraged to bring their avalance gear for hands on training. The Snowmobile safety course is ideal for young snowmobiliers and those new to the sport. Participants ages 12 and older can take the certification test. Safety certification is required in many states.

There will be a fun make-an-take project at the convention for anyone not attending the 2 safety courses.

Our last convention planning meeting is Nov. 1st at 7pm in the board room at the Ramkota Hotel.

It is time to start marking the snowmobile trail and we can always use volunteers to help put it in. Anyone wanting to volunteer contact Jim Weaver—216-5309.

Hope to see you at our next club meeting on Thurs. Nov. 3rd. at 7:30pm at the Pizza Ranch.

Cheryl Gelling, Sec.
