October meeting date changed to host trails coordinator

The October club meeting has been pushed back one week to Thursday, October 9th, so that Trails Coordinator Tony Schmitt will be able to attend.  The meeting will still be held at the Pizza Ranch at 7:30 pm.

Snowmobile Safety Course set for November 24th

The Driftbusters will offer a free Snowmobile Safety Course  on Sunday, November 24 at 1 p.m. at the YMCA in Aberdeen.  Those who take the course and pass the certification test will receive a Snowmobile Safety Certificate from the South Dakota Game Fish and Parks.  Snowmobile safety certification is required to ride in many states for youth and adults.  The course is recommended for anyone new to snowmobiling and age 10 or older, you must be 12 years old to be certified.  We will be using the new SDSA safety simulator.     All are welcomed.

Annual Membership Drive and Fall Campout – September 20-21

Join us for the fun at Wylie Park Campground this weekend! The schedule of activities below is for all paid club members. If you want to camp, call the Parks and Recreation office at 626-3512 and talk to Vicki. Tell her you are with the Driftbusters group.

Friday, September 20, 7-9 pm: Turkey feed and talk around the campfire.
Saturday, 6 pm: Potluck Pork Loin Supper; please bring a dish to pass.
Saturday, 7:30 pm: Go karting at Thunder Road for all paid family memberships.

Driftbusters snowmobile club fall kick-off campout

Join the fun in 2013 for the family campout.

The dates for the fall Driftbusters’ Campout have been set!  Join us as Wylie Park on Friday, September 20 and Saturday, September 21 for food and fun!  Friday night will be turkey and talk by the campfire, and Saturday will be potluck  and go karts at Wylie Thunder Road.  The club will provide meat for Saturday night and everyone is asked to bring a dish to pass.  To reserve your camping spot, call Vicki at Parks and Rec (626-3512).  Be sure to mention that you are with the ABERDEEN DRIFTBUSTERS.  The sites in our block are 61-68, 77-81 and 87-89.  Sites must be paid for by August 1st but make your reservation now to get the best choice of sites.  If you don’t plan to camp, then just put it on the calendar and come out for the activities Friday and Saturday night!
