Mission
Statement:
The
mission of the Aberdeen Driftbusters Snowmobile Club is to stimulate interest
in the development of safe use of snowmobiles for enjoyment and recreation.
To promote the development and safety of our trail system, by raising funds
through sanctioned events, raffles, concessions, etc. To inform members
of local activities and other general information of interest to members,
regarding snowmobiling on a regional, state, or national level.

membership is approximately 150 families: has been as high as 225+

member of the South Dakota Snowmobile Association SDSA

been largest club 13 out of the last 15 years

monthly from September-April
Club
Activities:
CHARITY - Each
year several women of the club participate in the For Women Only Snowmobile
Ride for Easter Seals. These women, along with other riders from
across the state, raise $40,000.00-$60,000.00 per year.
Other Charities
we support include: Safe Harbor, Red Cross, Salvation
Army, Humane Society and Storybook Land. We also offer assistance
to families or individuals in need.
SAFETY - The
Driftbuster's offer a safety course each year for snowmobilers 10 years
of age and older. This course teaches safe riding and basic operating
skills. Our club supports SDSA's zero tolerance policy.
FAMILY ACTIVITIES:
The
club holds many family activities annually. These include: Christmas
party, Pizza & Swim party, Summer camp out, Steak feeds, Couples Night,
Spring Fundraiser, Family Trail Rides, Rocket Rides, Grass Drag Races in
the summer.
Community
Activities:
We
organize an Emergency Response Team to assist out local civil defense.
The team, when activated by local law enforcement, provides transportation
to medical personnel and deliver medicine. Our club raised money
to purchase a snowmobile, trailer and first-aid sled which we donated to
the city of Aberdeen to be used when a winter emergency arises
