2026 SDSA Convention

The Aberdeen Drift Busters Snowmobile Club welcomes the 2026 SDSA Convention to Aberdeen!

The SDSA Convention will be held December 3-5, 2026, at the Best Western Aberdeen Hotel and Convention Center. Refer to SDSA Convention to acquire room block and rates. Room Rates for the convention are $119.99 + tax and can be made directly with the Best Western Aberdeen Hotel and Convention Center by calling 605-229-4040.

This year’s theme for the convention is “Bootleg Trails and Powder Tales – Celebrating a Century of Snowmobiling.”

Special Convention Events include:
Avalanche 1 Training and Awareness: New interactive classroom session with hands-on transceiver use, demonstrations, Powerpoint and video. Emphasis on avalanche transceivers and new rescue techniques.  Class will start with a review on avalanche accidents, how to prevent getting caught, the different types of avalanches and reading into avalanche forecasts.  Will progress to new more advanced avalanche rescue techniques, terrain analysis, route finding, snowpack analysis and transceiver use. Keep your skills current, get in the right mindset for the season, practice transceiver skills 3-4 hours.

SDSA Speak Easy Entertainment:
Bring out your inner gangster! The Aberdeen Drift Buster Snowmobile Club is hosting a “Speak Easy” as part of their Saturday night entertainment. You must attend the Saturday night banquet to get the secret details to attend this special event. *Dressing up for the Speak Easy is not mandatory but guests are encouraged to dress up in 1920’s prohibition attire and play along with the event!
