Aberdeen Drift Buster Snowmobile Club Membership Campout
Drift Busters Membership Campout at Wylie Park The Drift Busters held their annual membership campout at Wylie Park Campground, filled with camping, campfires, turkeys, potlucks, go-karts, and plenty of fellowship! Friday, September 12The weekend kicked off with turkey fryers sizzling and dinner served at 6:30 pm. Guests could arrive anytime during the day. The club provided turkeys, plates, silverware, napkins, soft drinks, and water. Members were asked to bring a dish to share—anything from chips and dips to fruit or dessert. After dinner, everyone enjoyed club games and a cozy campfire. Saturday, September 13Saturday’s potluck dinner was held in the Birdhouse from 5:00–6:00 pm, featuring Joey Nagel’s famous pulled pork. Again, members were asked to bring a dish to pass, while the club supplied the pork and all dinner essentials. From 6:30–7:30 pm, the group had a private go-kart party, followed by another evening around the campfire.
Dennis and Wanda Gelling Poker Chip Run
Congratulations to Vicki S. She was the last “Chip” standing and the winner of the Dennis and Wanda Gelling Poker Chip Run and Social! She donated $1000 of her winnings to Dennis and Wanda Gelling who in turn will be donating a total of $2300 towards the Midwest Honor Flight. We had such a great turnout with 112 poker “chips” registered for the event. Thank you to our hosts Aberdeen Drift Busters Snowmobile Club, The Crossing Bar, Karen's Bar and Grill, City Lights Bar and Event Center, Richmond Oasis. Dennis and Wanda had great time with friends and family. Each stop and location were packed with guests.
The Aberdeen Drift Busters Support Safe Harbor
The Aberdeen Drift Busters Snowmobile Club recognizes all the support that Safe Harbor provides to members of our community when they need it most. Our Club is proud to have donated $500.00 for them to continue their much-needed services. We hope other members of the community would consider donating as well.
Parade of Lights
The Aberdeen Drift Busters Snowmobile Club participated in the Aberdeen Downtown Association Parade of Lights to benefit Safe Harbor. Thank you, Lee and Tracy Olson, for representing the Club.
Ace of Hearts Drawing
Ace of Hearts drawing with Karen's Bar and Grill Tonight was a special night for the Aberdeen Drift Busters Snowmobile Club. As the result of the Ace of Hearts drawing hosted by Karen's Bar and Grill the Aberdeen Drift Buster Snowmobile Club was awarded a check for $6822.50. The Club was so moved by this donation that Aberdeen Drift Buster Snowmobile Club donated half of the proceeds of $3411.25 back to Karen’s Bar and Grill and the other half of $3411.25 was donated on behalf of Karen’s Bar and Grill along with the Aberdeen Drift Buster Snowmobile Club to the South Dakota Snowmobile Association (Snowmobilers for Snowmobilers Cause). Gypsy Days Parade with the Drift Busters
The Aberdeen Drift Buster Snowmobile Club attended the 2024 Northern State University Gypsy Days Parade. Special Thank You to the Jager family for hosting the float for the Aberdeen Drift Buster Snowmobile Club. What a great way to gain exposure for the Club.
2024 International Snowmobile Day
The Aberdeen Drift Buster Snowmobile Club will be celebrating International Snowmobile Day by hosting a Show and Shine Event on the Ken’s Fairway Parking Lot. The event will be held Saturday, October 26th from 11-3pm. The event is open to the public with a grilled hotdog lunch served by the Aberdeen Drift Buster Club members. New this year! We will have an area set up for snowmobiles for sale. If you have a sled for sale, bring it out! Along with snowmobile for show and for sale we will have an area set up with a snowmobile simulator for youth and rider education. Again, this event is free and open to the public.
Sizzlin Summer Nights Car Show
Saturday, August 24, 2024 The Aberdeen Drift Buster Snowmobile Club will have a booth during the 2024 Sizzlin Summer Nights Car Show on Downtown Main Street Aberdeen. Stop by the booth and check out a couple snowmobiles from some of the Aberdeen Drift Buster Snowmobile Club Members. We will also be selling 2024/2025 Aberdeen Drift Buster Memberships and Sponsorships.
